                                           In   February 1984, Cheenu's Upanayanam was conducted in a large scale at Kalakad as planned by KTV, attended to by all our relatives and friends witha good number of brahmin community people of Kalakad , Sundaram Shyamala Ambujam and  Usha's Mother.  At  this stage itself, KTV was running down health.There was a visible sign of weakness in his body ,reduction of weight and readable fatigue in his face,  He was being shown to the loacal doctors then and there. 

                                        The previous trip to Bombay which he undertook in 1984 September/October  was the last north trip and it was the complete starting point of his health decline. Of course , he made one or two trips to Chennai.The last one was to Rama narayana bhagavaher's house,a T. Nagar, Chennai. which also we tried to prevent.Immediately after that particular trip he was frequented with fever. There was one local Dr. by name Arumugam who was an MB BS who was being consuted.KTV  began  to prefer   reclining instead of   sitting errect which he was used to, and after some days he preferred  stretching himself horizontally. By December that year ,  blood   also came out along withs  motion , which made him to be admitted in  DrArumugam's  clinic where he had to be treated with  drip injections.  Our responsibility for taking his care became more. The four of us spent more time at Kalakad than usual. As young ones Srimathi and Cheenu also helped their lot at their level.We were all duty bound to serve the aged ailing elders. Our additional work became that of engaging  the visitors  whose number began to swell as days went by. At a sage he became completely bedridden. Until such time he was the Secretary of the Sri Rama Navami Sabha  and  he resigned from the post.At a stage , I  had to receive his urine in a vessel as he passed .Some of the visitors who treated him as their Guru offered their share in this particular work.That was a time cot, flush out were not thought of in the village. Nor were people moneyed. Even rich people used to have a nice sleep  well snoring, on the floor.

                   One day, Kalakad Mahadeva bhagavathar (brother of Raanarayana bhagavatar } snatched the vessel from my hand   and received the urine!His stand point is "  how else can  I serve him now , a person who has done a lot for my family!.

                  KALAKAD THOTHA THRI VADYAR ( 3 )                                       NR had three daughters and no sons.The first son in law stayed with NR.  The second    daughter died young leaving a male child. The third daughter was living with her husband in a nearby village and made occasional visits to her parent's house. As time passed NR was checking the old records regarding his landed properties .He was so rich that he was owning  around  800 acres of wet lands of  paddy fields  in addition to other dry lands and groves.He was cross  checking the tally of produce from different lands.The employees in charge of these matters like accoutants and other servants could not give convincing answers to him.
